We thank you in advance for your generous gift. The seed will go towards bibles and needs for training center.
OUR MISSION:
Our mission in Uganda has a three-prong approach. We will be ministering to the people of Uganda by; spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:16-20), equipping and encouraging pastors and church leaders (Ephesians 4:12-16), and meeting felt needs (Matthew 25:31-46 & Titus 3:14).
SPREAD THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST:
We will be holding 5 night crusades during our time in Uganda (2 nights in Kampala and 3 nights in Mbale). We can expect to minister to between 1000 – 1500 people per night. We, along with the local pastors and ministers will be ministering through music, dance, movies, preaching, healing the sick, prayer and one on one relational ministry. Last year in only 3 nights of ministry we saw over 350 people accept Christ and several evident healings. This year we expect to see more fruit than ever!!! We will also be traveling to several villages to minister to the people of the villages. We are planning on holding smaller crusades in the villages along with ministering to the village churches. Some of our team may have the opportunity to stay behind to get to know the villagers more personally in order to minister to them in a deeper manner and gain more understanding of the needs of the villages.
EQUIPPING AND ENCOURAGING PASTORS & CHURCH LEADERS:
We have been asked to conduct (2) three day Pastors and Leaders Conferences this year. The first conference will be in the city of Kampala (The Capital City of Uganda). We will be hosted by Pastor Ben and his wife Grace at their church, Jesus Christian Center. The second conference will be held in the conference room of the Pretoria Hotel in Mbale. The conferences are a great time of encouragement and equipping for the pastors and leaders. It is also a time of vision casting for the 42 Victory Life Churches in the area led by Pastor Richard Gad. As you can imagine it is a very highly anticipated and exciting time for all of the pastors and the leaders who are invited to come.
MEETING FELT NEEDS:
Uganda is one of the poorest nations in the world, with 37.7% of the population living on less than $1.25 a day. Despite making enormous progress in reducing the countrywide poverty incidence from 56% of the population in 1992 to 31% in 2005, poverty remains deep-rooted in the country's rural areas, which are home to more than 85 per cent of Ugandans.
We have many future plans to help the long-term prosperity of the villages that we are associated with. Some of which will take considerable effort and are long-term projects. This year our goal is to meet felt needs by purchasing or leasing land for community farms, purchase pigs and or milk goats, provide bags of beans and maze (Corn) to help immediate hunger, providing low cost or free medication to fight malaria, providing first aid and medical supplies and meet other immediate need as we are able.
